The designCOM library provides an interface between the physical hardware of the hearing aid device and the computer or PDA software used for customising the device. designCOM provides a simple application programmer’s interface for controlling and programming any hearing aid using the DSP FrameWork. It also provides tools which allow software programmers to avoid having to write code representing the device and its modules. designCOM follows the modular architecture of Dynamic Hearing’s DSP technology so that each of the DSP modules (ADM, MCNS, AFSplus etc.) has its own associated library module which can be configured as necessary.
