Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) removes perceivable acoustic echo from the device speaker to microphone. The AEC uses advanced adaptive filtering techniques to remove components in a device send signal that are well correlated with the device receive signal.
These adaptive filtering techniques include multi-band, single-band, linear and non-linear techniques, as well as advanced detection of double-talk and infinite return loss.
Combined with Acoustic Echo Suppression, the AEC reduces or eliminates perceivable echo, allowing the reduction of headset size.
